A 3.5" external hard drive WD My Cloud 6TB (WDBCTL0060HWT-EESN) can be used as a network storage or a peripheral storage device. This drive connects to TVs, players, receivers, and similar equipment as an external media file storage. In addition, this model can be used to set up a backup system or external storage for important data by connecting the drive to a computer, router, or server.
LAN AND USB
The drive's interface includes LAN and USB ports. Using the first port, the data storage device connects to a wired network, serving all surrounding devices. By using the universal port (USB), the drive can be connected to a specific consumer—such as a player, TV, or computer.
DLNA SUPPORT
When connected to a wireless or wired router, the drive can serve any DLNA-compatible devices, operating in media file storage mode. In this case, WD My Cloud can also be used by mobile device owners.
BACKUP WITH WD SmartWare Pro
The WD My Cloud storage can be used to set up an automated backup service. With the WD SmartWare Pro utility, the drive can work with any computers and servers, including products from Apple.
COMPATIBILITY WITH Mac AND PC
The WD My Cloud drive is compatible with both Mac and PC computers. It requires special software for synchronization with the devices, available on the manufacturer's website.
