The ASUS RT-AC68U is a wireless router with the 802.11ac standard, whose data transfer speed in the 5 GHz band is comparable to the bandwidth of a wired Gigabit Ethernet connection. Furthermore, thanks to Broadcom's TurboQAM technology, the throughput of the 802.11n interface in the 2.4 GHz band when working with compatible network equipment is 600 Mbps. Thanks to USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, the RT-AC68U router can connect to 3G/4G modems, printers, and external storage devices to expand the device's functionality. For example, ASUS AiCloud technology allows an external hard drive connected to the RT-AC68U to be transformed into cloud storage, which can be accessed remotely from any computer, smartphone, or tablet. Moreover, in the router synchronization mode, AiCloud automatically updates files on external drives connected to compatible ASUS routers to the latest versions, thus facilitating the exchange of large files. The user-friendly and intuitive ASUSWRT interface serves to manage all router functions. Its features include monitoring internet traffic and limiting the bandwidth of the internet channel for individual applications.
