Canon CanoScan Lide210 Scanner

Canon has announced the release of a new scanner in the CanoScan line: CanoScan LiDE 210. The new model, which replaces the LiDE 200, combines increased speed with excellent scanning quality for photos and documents. This ultra-compact device boasts outstanding features, including a new Auto Scan button and advanced software. They provide quality and functionality at an affordable price.

Fast and clear scanning

CanoScan LiDE 210 performs clear and high-quality scanning at a significantly higher speed compared to the previous model. The time it takes for CanoScan LiDE 210 to scan an A4 document at 300 dots per inch resolution is about 10 seconds (compared to 14 seconds for the LiDE 200).

Canon has also added Auto Photo Fix II and Auto Document Fix to the new scanner. With these features, users can fully control the quality of output images. Auto Photo Fix II corrects common errors such as blurred faces, lifeless skin tones, excessive or insufficient color saturation, and can "recognize" the scene type in a photo. Auto Document Fix allows getting superior clear images by automatically analyzing and correcting different areas of the document.

The new Auto Scan button allows the immediate start of the process. Thanks to the auto scan mode, the device determines the type of original, scans it, and saves the result with suitable settings. All of this is done with a single button press. CanoScan LiDE 210 supports scanning at resolutions up to 4800 x 4800 dots per inch. The model ensures a color depth of 48 bits.

Four customizable EZ buttons in the CanoScan LiDE 210 enable the completion of common tasks such as scanning, copying, emailing scan results, and creating PDFs with a single press. The CanoScan LiDE 210 also includes a fifth EZ button, providing users with the ability to create multi-page PDF files directly from the scanner without needing to return to the computer.

Saving desk space and energy

The ultra-compact CanoScan LiDE 210 features a new unique dual-hinge Z-lid cover, allowing scanning of thick documents and books without compromising the scanner's appearance or user comfort. The height of the CanoScan LiDE 210 is just 39 mm. The model comes with a convenient stand, providing the option for vertical scanning and freeing up valuable desk space. The scanner is powered via USB, making it economical both in terms of space and energy consumption.

Versatile software

The CanoScan LiDE 210 comes with versatile software that extends its functionality. MP Navigator EX offers optical character recognition and image stitching (Stitch Assist) capabilities for formats larger than A4. Solution Menu EX provides easy access to functions through easily recognizable icons.

Auto Scan button and mode
The Auto Scan button allows scanning to start immediately, and thanks to the auto scan mode, high-quality images with optimized settings can be obtained with a single button press. Auto scan mode is activated directly on the device, in the ScanGear software, or MP Navigator EX. During auto scanning, the type of source material is recognized, whether it's a text document or several photos, and then the resolution is optimized, cropping and image processing are performed before the scanning begins. The scanned images are saved in JPEG format, and documents, newspapers, or magazines—in PDF format.

Auto Document Fix

Auto Document Fix allows obtaining excellent, easily readable scanning results by automatically analyzing and correcting different areas of a document. This technology performs precise text and image separation through color analysis and determination of color intensity changes. These data are then used to correct various zones. Correction includes highlighting characters and removing the text background, smoothing dots, and adjusting contrast/tone for images.

Auto Photo Fix II

Auto Photo Fix II analyzes and edits digital photos using multi-area correction functionality, providing high print quality even for underexposed photos. When creating portraits, this system recognizes faces, adjusting skin tone and brightness. When processing landscapes, brightness and contrast are optimized. If there are people in the photograph against a landscape background, Auto Photo Fix II corrects both areas.

EZ Functional buttons

EZ buttons enable the execution of common tasks such as copying, auto scanning, attaching the scanned image to an email, and creating a PDF file with a single button press. This enhances the convenience of working with scanners.

Solutions Menu EX

Solutions Menu EX uses easily recognizable icons, simplifying navigation through the software and selecting functions to the maximum. The on-screen interactive environment can be customized according to individual preferences to display frequently used menu items, further simplifying access to them.

MP Navigator EX

MP Navigator EX is a comprehensive software solution for managing scanned images and documents with convenient PDF file editing, correction, and enhancement functions.
