The ASUS RP-N12 Wi-Fi signal repeater extends the coverage area of an office or home router, providing data exchange speeds of up to 300 Mbps.
SETUP VIA WPS
To synchronize the settings of the repeater and the wireless router, the user simply needs to activate the WPS mode on both devices by pressing the button located at the base of the antenna. For fine-tuning the ASUS RP-N12, a wired connection to a computer will be necessary.
ACCESS POINT AND BRIDGE MODE
The repeater can be used in wireless access point mode by connecting with a cable to a router without a Wi-Fi module. In bridge mode, the ASUS RP-N12 connects via a cable to a device without a Wi-Fi module, such as a Smart-TV-enabled television, and then connects to the router wirelessly.
Roaming Assist FEATURE
When paired with an ASUS wireless router, the RP-N12 repeater supports a connection optimization feature, which connects the user to the device with a stronger signal while ignoring the “weaker” transmitter. This feature can enhance Wi-Fi signal reception even in rooms with very complex layouts.
