The compact design takes up 24 percent less space on your desk than full-sized keyboards, giving you more room to conveniently arrange the keyboard along with your mouse. The keyboard features a sleek aluminum body and low-profile keys with a crisp and smooth feel. Function keys provide quick access to various operations on Mac such as screen brightness, volume, optical disc ejection, play/pause, forward/backward, Mission Control, and Launchpad.
The keyboard design has been updated with significant energy consumption improvements—now using only two AA batteries instead of three. The "smart" power management system extends battery life. When you are not using the keyboard, it automatically turns off, but the moment you start typing, it instantly turns back on.
